The Upper Room seats up to 200 and can be set out theatrestyle or with tables / display screens. There is an LCD projector fixed to a roof beam which can be attached to your laptop and a fixed retractable projection screen. Lapel and standing microphones are also available. The room is air conditioned, has a hearing loop and is accessible by lift. There are disabled toilets on both floors.
Should you wish to provide your own refreshments, there is a kitchenette with a heater to provide water for hot drinks. Crockery and cutlery is provided when you bring your own supplies.
The George Street Centre is downhill from the bus stops outside the library, and on the corner of the Co-op car park which permits 1.5 hour parking without proof of purchase. 4 hour on-street parking.
Our café runs downstairs from 10:00 - 2:30 weekdays serving hot and cold meals, mostly home-made, at affordable prices.
Availability and Hire Costs
Availability: Available throughout the week apart from Sundays.
Hire Costs: 3 hour session £48, £16 per hour thereafter. Includes use of the kitchenette. Discount given for regular hire or charitable use.
