• Hannah More Cottage is a wonderful hidden gem in the centre of Cheddar! I recently had my 30th birthday party there and it was a lovely venue. Although it's quite plain in the main hall with a few decorations it's totally transformed. There's a lovely, cosy smaller room that leads into the kitchen which is nice for anyone wanting a bit of quiet from the party. And the garden is beautiful too, with lots of chances for photographs. I would completely recommend hiring the hall! Also the lack of parking was not a problem, I had a number of people that came that had never been to Cheddar and with the right directions they all got parking spaces even during the Easter holidays.

• I hired this hall for a board games event and it worked really well, the kitchen is well stocked with crockery and so on, we used it to put out cakes and refreshments and there was a lot of space to lay out a dozen tables for board games. Plenty of tables and chairs available to put out. The snug area also came in handy as a quiet space to play chess.
