Oaken Grove Community Centre is a friendly community facility based in Haxby, 6 miles outside of York. We are suitable for a variety of event from parties and gatherings to business meetings and classes. We also have staff on site who are happy to help you with any questions you may have.
The building has recently been refurbished and extended and is now home to Haxby and Wigginton Explore Library and Reading Cafe.
There is a car park for around 21 vehicles and the entire building is on one level and wheelchair accessible. We have two baby change tables, an accessible toilet and a changing place facility due to be opening in May 2024.
Availability and Hire Costs
Availability: We have a varied schedule but we have most availability at weekends. However, please call to speak to our staff and we will try and accommodate you wherever possible.
Hire Costs: We charge £8 per hour for our Little Acorn Office, £10 per hour for our Conservatory and £13 per hour for our Oak Tree or Acorn Room. The Oak Tree and Acorn Room can be hired individually, with the partition closed, or together with the partition open. Both rooms combined are charged at £20 per hour. We also offer a special party rate which is £55 for 3 hours, with additional hours charged at £20
