Moira Village Hall

The hall was built in 2002 and is located within the designated boundaries of the National Forest close to Conkers, Hicks Lodge cycling centre and the local Youth Hostel and the National Forest Visitors Centre.The hall is surrounded by grassed areas and has extensive capacity for car parking. We hire to corporate bodies and for individual celebrations. We also hire rooms on a regular basis to a number of local businesses that provide a range of activities as well as one off events eg Craft Fairs. We have 3 rooms for hire and a large self catering kitchen. A local public house is authorised to provide a licensed bar for events. The main hall has a stage and a pa aystem. The stage can be accessed from a room at the rear, facilitating stage entrances without entering the main hall from the audience area. There are steps leading from the stage to the main area of the hall. The Youth wing can accomodate 50 people and has direct access to the large kitchen. There are toilets adjacent to the Youth Wing suitable for children and a side door leads out on to a small enclosed play area. The Cosy Chestnut room is carpeted, has armchairs and folding tables and can accomodate 25 people. It has direct access onto a patio area leading into the grounds of the hall. There is a small front kitchen with a water boiler for making drinks, a fridge and a server counter facing directly onto the entrance area that is fitted out with tables and chairs. This seating area is directly accessed through the entrance and is accessible to all visitors. There is a gradient to the entrance door from the car park, all rooms have level access. There is an accessible toilet with a baby changing bench on site.
