Harmony Community Arts Centre

St Hilary's Hall, Mangravet Avenue, Maidstone, ME15 9BQ, Kent, England

A gorgeous old church built in 1928 and converted in 2004 into a bespoke community theatre space. With seating for 96 and standing for 200. The stage is 5m x 5m and is 80cm high. There are separate dressing rooms and a dedicated stage door.

There is a bar area, although alcohol licences are currently on a TENs basis only.

There is a built in PA system and lighting rig that is currently all analogue and located in the dedicated control room above the audience seating.

There is a small covered courtyard to the rear of the building that is enclosed and accessed from the main hall or the rear gate. Within the property perimeter there is a front yard suitable for up to 6 cars. Outside the main gate is a further public carpark for up to 8 cars with plenty of free on the road parking.

The space is perfect for small touring theatre shows, cabaret, comedy nights, performing arts workshops, live music and other intimate creative activities.

Set back from the main road, down an alleyway, the venue has a speakeasy feel to it and is a real gem hidden in plain sight. You have to see it to believe its beauty.
