About Shotgate community Hall
Shotgate Community Hall was built by the residents of Shotgate, and opened in November 1958. It has been updated regularly since then, the most recent refirbishments being new toilets & new kitchen. The hall itself is suitable for many events, weddings, family parties, children's parties (sorry, strictly no teenage parties), club functions etc. with subdued lighting to suit all occasions. Capacity is about 120 for a party or 80 for a sit down meal. Although the hall is not licenced, there is a room that has a shutter that opens into the hall that can be used as a bar, for the hirers to serve their guests. There is plenty of parking in the car park at the rear of the hall. The hall is situated just off the main road between Wickford & Rayleigh.
