Askham and Helton Village Hall is in Askham, one of the most picturesque villages in Cumbria, about 5 miles south of Penrith. The villages of Askham and Helton look east across the Lowther valley to Lowther Castle, while behind them are paths up to the Lake District fells. The hall is large, refurbished in 2004, with space for 200 people standing, 120 set out as a theatre and 80 for a meal. It has a sprung floor 8x15 metres and a hearing loop. There is a small hall for meetings and similar events, a kitchen and disabled facilities. Next to the hall is a heated open-air swimming pool, open in the summer, set in half an acre of grass. There is a car park with space for 50 cars. The village has a shop and two pubs.

Hire Costs: Main hall £10 per hour, £100 for a day. Small meeting room £5.00 per hour. Kitchen £3.00 per session. Charges for longer periods by arrangements
