Waldringfield Village Hall

Waldringfield is a picturesque village with a keen sailing community, set on the banks of the tidal River Deben. Home to the beachfront Maybush Inn, Deben Cruises river trips (Waldringfield Boatyard) and Sailing Club. Approximately 7 miles east of Ipswich and 3 miles south of Woodbridge, with easy access via the A14/A12. This beautiful hall was built in 2001 and has been cleverly designed to provide both independent and adjoining access to both main rooms (Deben Hall and Kennedy Room). Deben Hall (18m x 9m) comfortably seats 120 at tables (or 150 closely seated), has a beech sprung floor and double doors opening onto a south facing patio and garden. Ideal for concerts, choir and orchestra rehearsals (great acoustics), arts and craft fayres and classes, exercise and sport groups (yoga, pilates, badminton, etc), weddings and wakes. Kennedy Room (7.9m x 5.9m) comfortably seats 32 at tables (or 42 closely seated) and is ideal for committee meetings, social clubs, small family events and as a buffet/reception room to larger functions in the main hall. Large kitchen with serving hatch opening onto Deben Hall and separate access routes to both Deben Hall and Kennedy Room. This modern fitted kitchen is well equipped with crockery and cutlery, upright fridge freezer, heated trolley, domestic oven and microwave. There is also a 'quiet room' off Deben Hall, equipped with bed and sink - ideal for baby feeding/changing, as a dressing room for concerts, surgery, or just somewhere quiet for anyone feeling unwell. An adjoining office can double as an extra dressing room, if needed, and ladies, gents and disabled toilets are off the main entrance hall. Car parking for 35 cars. Registered Charity No. 304830
