The globe is a unique and magical space in the heart of Hay-on-Wye, the famed book town on the edge of the Black Mountains. Situated within a beautiful converted Methodist chapel, the globe is the perfect wedding venue for a truly unique celebration: from vintage style garden parties or stomping ceilidh shindigs, to intimate candle lit receptions, the globe can be a blank canvas for your big day.
The chapel is split into 3 versatile spaces: the impressive double height Main Hall, perfect for formal or informal dining, dancing and receptions; the Upper Gallery, which overlooks the Main Hall, providing a quieter area for guests to relax; and the flag-stoned Lower Gallery, which offers the ideal space for DJs and guests wanting to dance into the night! The globe is surrounded by large gardens, ideal for arrival drinks, marquees, barbeques or even games for the guests. We can cover all of your tech and AV needs, including several large wall projectors and blackboards for really personalizing the space. The globe even has its own self-catering cottage just through the garden, which can sleep up to 6 and is ideal for wedding parties.
Our excellent in-house chefs have a range of delicious menus to suit most requirements and budgets, from barbeques to buffets to seated dinners. Prices start from £15 per head. We are able to cater for up to 85 people for a sit-down meal and 120 people for a buffet style self-service. The full venue has a standing reception capacity of 300 people.

One of our guests said "Why The Globe?" our response was "Why not!" Why not indeed.
We had the most fantastic Birthday Party for Geoff here with a band from Kington "The Ziggy Stardust Experience". Sound and sound man Bill great, venue perfect for a party. Chef, Cai calm and spot on and the team young, happy, efficient and can do philosophy. A well oiled machine for functions.
Our advice, know and plan what you would like and ask The Globe. All the best for the future. Geoff and Patsy

A really friendly venue with great acoustics for a band! 2 bars (one on each level) and plenty of room for dancing. We had a great party here.
