The Institute has been at the heart of Rothbury life since 1897. It is situated at the centre of the village, on the edge of the wonderful Northumberland National Park, and a stone's throw from the River Coquet. After extensive renovation it was re-opened by Their Royal Highness-es Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall in November 2006.
Main hall holds 249 people, three other rooms hold 60-75, while two smaller rooms are available for 15-25 people. There is a lift for access to the upstairs conference room.
Availability and Hire Costs
Availability: The hall is available weekdays, weekends and public holidays, allowing for other users already booked in. It is possible to book the venue for late evening finishes.
Hire Costs: Armstrong Hall (capacity 201/249) £49 per am/pm session, £97 all day Simonside Room (capacity 75) £31 per am/pm session, £62 all day Dovecote Room (capacity 60) £31 per am/pm session, £62 all day Cheviot Room (capacity 60) £31 per am/pm session, £62 all day Cragside Room (capacity 15) £19 per am/pm session, £37 all day Howarth Room (capacity 25) £19 per am/pm session, £37 all day Hourly and long term rates are available. Evening rates are higher, especially after 11 pm. Full details available from the caretaker. Additional rates available for use of audio visual equipment in main hall, and large 75 inch screen TV in Cheviot Room.
