Seaton Delaval Arts Centre

Seaton Delaval Arts Centre provide modern facilities for the enjoyment of the 'Arts' in the local environment. We offer diversionary activities for the Youth of Seaton Valley away from the anti-social drink , drugs and vandalism culture. We offer a friendly, well run building for the community of Seaton Valley. The Arts Centre Team encourage and support any groups wanting to make use of the facilities for various uses i.e. performing, arts and crafts, dance or song etc, ensuring the building is well maintained and used. Whilst always being conscious of other facilities in the area, we believe this new venture can only complement the existing facilities. The Seaton Delaval Arts Centre builds on the heritage of Seaton Delaval and preserves it for the future. The local community of Seaton Delaval, Holywell and the surrounding area supports a vast base of fully qualified and competent trade's people. We as a local based organisation would (wherever possible) utilise this labour force. Ploughing money back into the community not only raises the standard of living but also gives a pride in the local environment. Primarily, the Arts Centre is a community theatre, with a main auditorium that can hold up to 162 people. We have a permanent stage in place and raised seating that pulls out from the rear. Yearly we hold pantomimes, shows, concerts and other entertainment events providing entertainment for the local people, at excellent prices. Our building is extremely 'multi-use' friendly. Our raised seating pushes to the back of the auditorium, leaving a large space for dancing and performing. We have a sprung wooden floor installed in the centre, ideal for dance groups. We also accommodate meetings and conferences using our building as a venue, providing all the 'in-venue' catering.
