About Wilby Village Hall

Wilby Village Hall is a perfect venue for meetings, gatherings, parties and weddings. It is a large and spacious village hall with a recently renovated wooden sprung floor for dancing. The hall can also be curtained off to create a smaller more intimate area. 

Amenities include; stage, kitchen, bar, toilets and cloakroom. Technical facilities include; Wi-Fi, PA, large screen and film showing capabilities. There are also two pool tables and three dart boards. 

The hall is situated opposite Wilby primary school and has a large car park. Wilby is approximately one mile to the south of Stradbroke, Suffolk.

The village hall has now been externally refurbished and looks magnificent! Internally the bar & lounge area have been decorated and the carpet cleaned, additions are pool table, table tennis table and dart board mats. Overall the hall looks and feels much improved, well done all this involved

Went to the Church Supper, lovely food and was impressed by the revamped bar - great venue!

We attended the Race Night, It was very enjoyable, the event was very well run and very much enjoyed by all who attended. There was even a prize for the losing tickets ! Station 119 ale was on sale again and they were one of the sponsors along with several local businesses, which is great to see. All in all a good time had by all and I should imagine it raised a good amount for the hall. Looking forward to the next event.

BLACKHEART the band were fantastic ! we really enjoyed it, and it was good to see live music being performed exceptionally well. A good crowd came along and the hall people were very welcoming and informal.Bar prices were very good, all in all a good time had by all !

We attended a Quiz night at Wilby village hall, it was their first and it was well attended, 11 team of 4, the quiz was well presented with a scoreboard on a big screen! everyone enjoyed the evening, which included a raffle. Most teams had a prize winner in one way or another.

We attended the Fete at the hall on sat 6th June, which was lovely we all enjoyed the informal atmosphere and welcoming feeling we all received from the friendly people there. It was a lovely event which we would attend again and the hall is a fantastic venue for such events

Social evening - Station 1-1-9 A local brewery were present along with some samples of their beers. Lots of people attended and the evening was very enjoyable, Station 1-1-9 have shown an interest in doing another evening in the future.

We arranged a 'Social Evening' for villagers and friends thereof, the bar was open and well stocked, people could relax and chat, meet new people, play a variety of games including darts, indoor bowls, crib and other board games. The event is planned for every friday evening and it is hoped that it will be a success.I will certainly attend again, as their are plans to make the event more 'pub' like with perhaps a pool table, table tennis table and possibly a games console.
