Brogborough Village Hall now available for hire- £12 per hour for private parties, £15 business rates . The Village Hall is now under new management looking to increase usage of our hall. Hall Notices

  • The Hall is run by the Brogborough Social Amenities Association. All the committee members of the Association are Charity Trustees of the Brogborough Village Hall Trust. The Trust is a registered charity (No. 802265) whose charitable aims are to provide : "A Village Hall for the use of the inhabitants of Brogborough in the county of Bedford and neighbouring villages and hamlets without distinction of religious, political or other opinion including use for meetings lectures and classes and for other forms of recreation and leisure time occupation with the object of improving the conditions of life for the said inhabitants." The Hall is licenced to hold 150 people. It has full disabled access, including toilet facilities. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, microwave, kettle and tea urn.

  • Conditions of hire Capacities of the Hall 50 - Seated 150 - Dancing 100 - Dining and Dancing Scale of Charges £ 7.50 per hour - Residents £10.00 per hour - Non-residents The conditions for hire of the Village Hall are in place in order to protect the property, committee and the party hiring the premises. This will make your hire easier and less stressful for all. A cash deposit will be required before the hire. This may be used to cover the cost of any breakages, with the balance being returned to you. A deposit of £25 in cash will normally be required. A £100 deposit will be required for certain events such as adult parties and parties at Christmas and New Year. The deposit (or the balance of the deposit) will be returned to you on inspection of the Hall after the event. Tampering with the Hall's safety equipment is serious, and may endanger life. Damage to the equipment may result in your deposit being retained by the Committee. The Village Hall drains will not cope with soiled nappies, kitchen towels, sanitary products and the like being flushed down the toilet. Please use the bins provide for these items. Clearing blockages of the drains is time-consuming and may inconvenience other hirers. This may result in your deposit being retained by the Committee. In the event of an emergency, please call the required emergency service and tell the Bookings Secretary. If necessary, evacuate the building. The Fire Assembly point is the Car Park.

  • Terms and conditions of hire General The Hall may be used only for lawful purposes, and no item should be brought into the Hall that might endanger the property or the people using it. The Hall is not licensed for the sale of intoxicating liquor. With the agreement of the Committee the hirer may, at his own expense, apply for such a licence for the period of hire. It is illegal to smoke anywhere in the Hall. There is a car park adjacent to the Hall. Cars are parked at owner's risk. Vehicle parking must not in any way restrict the public highway, or paths. Before the Hire Bookings may be made only by people aged 18 or over. All children's events must be supervised by an adult. The hire charge and deposit must be paid on collection of the keys before your event. During the Hire Any damage done during your hire must be reported as soon as possible. The cost of repair may be deducted from your deposit. The hirer will be held responsible for the behaviour of all people attending the event Animals and children are not allowed in the kitchen. No bouncing balls are allowed in the Hall. Bins are provided for nappies, sanitary wear, baby wipes, kitchen towels etc. Under no circumstances are these to be flushed down the toilets. Do not stick anything to the walls using sellotape, pins etc as these will cause damage. After the Hire Please leave the Hall and its equipment as clean and tidy as you found it. Empty all bins at the end of the hire. Rubbish bags can be found in the kitchen. Please take the rubbish home, as the Hall has no facilities to dispose of it. Check toilets and flush them. Check that all taps are turned off. Switch off all electrical appliances. Stack chairs, not more than four high, on the boxes at the back of the Hall. Move any tables to the sides of the Hall. Make sure that you do not leave any food, drink or personal belongings. A Committee member will be on hand at the end of your hire to secure the building. Please respect the neighbours and leave the hall quietly.
