About Abercych Village Hall
The village of Abercych has a history of woodturning. It sits on the side of the valley with the river Cych beneath it. The river joins the larger Teifi river at the end of the village at three counties bridge. Modern day Abercych comprises of several old hamlets which are in the parish of Manner Deifi.
Nearby are the famous Cenarth falls, market towns of Cardigan & Newcastle Emlyn. A short drive away are the Pembrokeshire & Ceredigion coastlines.
The hall was built in 1957 ....
About 10 years ago it was funded to have a extension built and recently received a lottery grant to improve, amongst other work, the old kitchen area . The majority of the kitchen work done by committee members with materials from local businesses.
The main hall accommodates approx 150 + people dimensions are 58ft x28ft (17.7 mtr x 8.6 mtr), the small room approx. 12people dimensions are 13ft x 12ft (4 x 3.7 mtr.)
Charges as from 1.5.13 are £10.00 p.h..
£5 p.h. for small room. This includes heating & use of kitchen.
The hall is run by a small committee of volunteers , if you would like to support us we meet the first Monday every month in the hall at 7p.m.
