The Town Hall was built by Thomas Stonor of Stonor in 1664 and has served as a market hall, school, court and meeting room. Today we invite wedding and family parties, reunions, business meetings and commercial hirings.
The Town Hall occupies the central location in Watlington – an eminent town that has many shops, restaurants and open spaces, all tucked beneath the Chiltern Hills. Car Parking (free at all times) is available in nearby Hill Road.
The Hall is administered by the custodian trustees who are mostly councillors of the Parish Council. The Council, as freeholders, have run the Town Hall and restored it lovingly for almost 100 years. In 2014, the town commemorates 350 years that have seen our community from The Restoration to Modern Times!
The Town Hall is accessible to wheelchair and mobility impaired people via our Stairclimber. Please let us know in advance if required
