As part of the oldest rowing club in Southampton, Coalporters hall is a great venue for a party or family occasion. We are situated by the River Itchen within walking distance of the city with ample free parking. Newly refurbished in 2022, the hall has a private and reasonably priced bar and can accommodate 100 people for either sit-down meals or buffets and 120 for discos. There is room for a disco or we have a sound system for your own music played from a phone. The hall is on the ground floor and has been used for birthday and anniversary parties, wedding receptions, christenings, funeral wakes and classes such as yoga and dance.

Availability and Hire Costs

Availability: Friday and Saturday evenings, Sunday afternoons and daytimes.

Hire Costs: Evening hire from 7-11pm £160 to include licenced bar and bar staff. Access to the hall is usually available from 4pm on the evening of the hire. An additional deposit of £100 is required to secure the booking which is refundable should the hall be left clean and tidy.
