About Moor Pool Hall
Located at the heart of the historic Moor Pool garden suburb, Moor Pool Hall is a Grade II listed building, built in the Arts & Crafts style, and retains many of its historic features. It has a number of rooms available to hire out for any occasion, from regular dance clubs to private parties and more! Moor Pool is one of the last remaining complete garden suburbs in the UK, founded by John Nettlefold in 1907. The Hall is at the heart of the community and built to provide residents with leisure facilities for people to gather, encouraging a sense of community and healthy living which was at the heart of Nettlefold’s vision. The Main Hall is a large well-lit room which benefits from a semi-sprung dance floor, excellent acoustics and a flexible layout with chairs and tables provided. With a capacity of at least 120 it is perfect for private hire such as children's parties, anniversaries, social events, conferences, table-top sales, and dances among other events. Regular hall users include children's music classes, Zumba, Yoga, Toddler groups and fitness classes.
The Lower Hall has a capacity of 40 and is suited to smaller occasions including coffee mornings and meetings, as well as fitness classes such as yoga and smaller parties.
Hidden beneath the Main Hall and next to the Lower Hall is an original Edwardian Skittle Alley which can also be hired out for 3 hours and includes hire of the Lower Hall. Perfect if you fancy learning a new skill or doing something a bit different for your event! Maximum capacity for the Skittle Alley is 20 people.
