Found the hall in great condition. Clean and well functioning kitchen. The hall facilities were good and with plenty of tables and chairs. The heating worked very well and when we needed help with finding things help was only a phone call away. The hall has 2 rooms with a large stage, wooden floors and high beamed roof. Our magician said he would recommend it up other possible children's parties.

We had booked the hall for a party with friends and family. The hall itself and the facilities are lovely, with a nice floor, beams and a stage. There is also an outdoor area covered with grass (unfortunately, this hadn't been cut prior to our party for some reason). There are areas that show a rather severe mould problem (bit worrying considering children are cared for in this hall). But our main complaint is, that the hall hadn't been properly cleared by previous users nor had the men's toilets been cleaned - we had to spend the 1st hour clearing up the mess and cleaning urinals that were filthy (hence I had to rush to ensure I was in time for my own party)! As we'd had to book the hall until midnight we spent the last 45 mins clearing up and cleaning and because of some minor things mentioned (mainly the bin wasn't exactly in the same spot...) the hall organiser withheld part of our deposit, despite our argument that we had to clean and clear their hall before we could start setting up. Not impressed, were going to use this hall in the future but most certainly will not now.
