About Sherburn community and sports club
Sherburn community and sports club is situated in the village of Sherburn midway between Malton and Scarborough on the A64 The facility opened in 2013 and is managed by a team of trustees , the club room can accommodate in excess of 100 people seated and has been used for many different events including weddings , wakes, dances, quizzes, bingos conferences, it's flexibility even allowed it to be used as the doctors surgery for 6 weeks whilst the local surgery was being refurbished. The building contains 11 toilets , 1 fully equipped disabled toilet with baby changing facilities, 8 showers contained within 2 large changing rooms and2 showers within two smaller rooms. Within the social area is a fully serviced bar and kitchen, large picture windows offer views towards the Yorkshire wolds and across the sports field to the vale of Pickering ,outside is a large seated patio which overlooks the children's play area. The sports field has a cricket pitch , 1 full size football pitch and 4 junior football pitches all of which are used to full capacity by senior males and a mixture of boys and girls The bar facility is normally open Friday, Saturday and Sunday but it is available 7 days a week as required. Hire of the facilities vary but are generally £10 an hour. Use of the hall by residents of Sherburn for none profit making events are free of charge in Summer with a small extra charge in winter if the heating is required
