Bluntisham Village Hall is a purposely unique building initially built as a badminton court for the community and to also provide a local venue to hire for events, however in the last few years it has been popular for large and small companies to hold their business meetings & conferences with us, many returning on a regular basis. Conveniently situated 5 miles from St Ives, 20 miles from Cambridge, and 9 miles from Huntingdon, this centrally is a great location. Built in 2003, 2 years later it then opened its doors to the public in 2005 after winning an award. This hall has a wonderful outlook especially during the summer months as much of its appeal is located within the grounds of a cricket pavilion and surrounded by playing fields, and a large play area, and trim trail conveniently close by for children keep occupied. CELEBRATIONS This is an ideal setting for the community and alike to hold birthday celebrations (18th's 21st ) anniversary's, children's parties, BBQ's, picnics, graduations, summer, winter balls, or school proms. Not least forgetting that you can hire the hall out for community sport events, band practise, musicals, plays, quizzes, bingo, and most recently wedding receptions. The large hall has two additional interlink meeting rooms (one with its own kitchenette area) and the other room has an adjacent stainless steel kitchen. Both rooms benefit from patio doors which can be opened up overlooking the cricket pitch, this can create a large open space or can be kept closed and used individually as a bar area to serve drinks and the other for your buffet, you can even organise a hog roast, bouncy castle or BBQ outside to entertain your guests with the addition on ample parking on site. The dancing capacity is approx 240 people & the dimensions are approx 55 foot long x 29 foot wide - (17 x 9 metres). There are 20 folding tables measuring 6ft by 2ft 6 & you can comfortably fit between 4 to 6 people around each. We have a full white crockery dinner service & cutlery for approx 100 place settings and the kitchen holds plenty of tumblers glasses, water jugs, and wine glasses. We also hold a full liquor licence so you can choose to hire an outside bar or supply your own alcohol for your event. CHILDREN'S PARTIES (during the day under 12 years) You can even organise a bouncy castle to go inside or outside (weather dependent) organise face painting or a themed party to make your children’s party complete. CONFERENCES/BUSINESS MEETINGS The hall also is a perfect facility for companies to hold their business meetings. conferences, training, team building, or workshops. Our main hall comfortably seats 120 with 2 adjoining meeting rooms offering an additional 30 seats. We have extensive catering facilities and offer suitable conference packages including hot or cold buffet lunches, and a variety of refreshments. Equipment can be provided and we have free Wi-Fi,wipe boards, projector screens, PA system, hearing loop, flip-charts, stationary, and ample parking outside for approximately 40 cars. Parish Club rate for activities £14 per hour + VAT. Commercial sports rate for activities £18 per hour + VAT.
