Twickenham Rowing Club was founded on the 26 July 1860 and is, jointly with the Thames Rowing Club, the third oldest rowing club on the Thames. This Victorian boathouse, on Eel Pie Island, sits on an uniquely beautiful stretch of the River Thames making it an idyllic place to row.
Our clubhouse has recently been refurbished and extended and is now the perfect venue for special occasions such as birthdays and weddings as well as corporate events or rugby hospitality. We can accommodate 80 guests for a standing/buffet event (or 60 seated for dining) in the clubhouse alone or 140 (120 seated) when the gymnasium is included.
The facilities provided:
o A fully stocked bar and bar staff.
o Fully equipped catering kitchen with a five-star Food Hygiene rating.
o Complete high quality audio system.
o Projector, screen and free WiFi.
o Disabled lift access and toilet and baby changing facilities
o Two balconies with splendid river views.
Why not hire a wedding boat to take the bride and groom to our jetty? This is the perfect venue for both wedding and corporate events.
Availability and Hire Costs
Availability: Friday, Saturday, Sunday afternoon and evening and some day times during the week.
Hire Costs: £90 per hour for use of the club room (up to 80 people). £190 for use of club room and erg gym combined (up to 140 people). Saturdays in April - September are charged at a flat buy out of £1950.
