  • Attended a party at the hall on Saturday. The most horrendous smell coming from the kitchen. It smelt as though something had died in there. The owner of the hall completely denied it, And pretty much accused us of Lying about the smell.. Despite many of the guests physically gagging due to the smell. Huge disappointment as have been to the hall before and it has been fine would have rather just A simple apology as opposed to being called a liar. Will never book again nor will I ever recommend Hever hall again

    They replied:

Unfortunately the rodent deterrent in the kitchen was switched off by persons unknown allowing a small field mouse to creep in to the building  and died under the fridge. The fridge was replaced immediately and 2 new humane rodent deterrents were purchased. The hall bookings secretary made a full refund to the booker. We have had no further problems of this nature.
