About Brushford Parish Hall
Brushford Parish Hall is on the edge of the Exmoor National Park. There is a beautiful 13th century parish church, St Nicholas, within a few minutes walk in the village. On a sunny day bridal parties often choose to process through the village - just like in the Poldark TV series. When decorated the Hall provides a spacious and very attractive backdrop for your celebration but it can equally be a workmanlike setting for a conference or training event.
The spacious modern Main Hall, 19m x 7m, can seat 200 for a lecture; 100 for meals. It is a versatile room with a sprung wooden floor and can be booked for sports, dancing, parties, talks, performances, exhibitions and fairs as well as weddings. Two sizes of table provide flexible layouts.
The modular stage can be erected in different configurations for a presenter, performers or a band and your event enhanced with modern, easily controlled stage lighting, a PA system and a hearing loop. FREE WIFI with speeds up to 70Mbs. Our projector can be hired for films, photo albums, skype greetings etc.
There is a recently refurbished kitchen with four ovens, eight hobs, a hot cupboard, refrigerators and a commercial dishwasher.
Connected to both the main hall and the kitchen is a smaller meeting room with a bar. The Hall has a full alcohol licence but you will need a TENS licence in order to sell alcohol and all the licences you need to play live or recorded music, perform plays and generally have a good time.
There is level access for people with reduced mobility and an inclusive toilet which also houses baby-changing facilities.
The Hall can be hired up to 2 years in advance by payment of a small deposit (not returnable but credited against the total cost of the hire).
We are happy to talk with you about your event. We have experience of hosting weddings, plays, formal dinners, dances and mass cycling sportives and we can suggest local suppliers for most needs including hall and table decoration, catering and music.
