Laughton Village Hall

Laughton Village Hall is owned by the Parish Council and operated by a volunteer Village Hall Management Committee. The Management Committee work extremely hard all year to fund raise in support of the upkeep and improvement of the halls interior. Their efforts mean that the Hall hire rates can be kept low and affordable to users. Recent figures show that the hire rate would need to double without their efforts. A mutually agreed constitution identifies the responsibilities the council and the Management Committee have in respect of the Village Hall. The Parish Council pay around 16% from the precept to cover the Council Tax and also the water and sewerage charges on the Hall. The Village Hall facilities include a floodlit car park with 70 places and both the Village Hall and car park are under 24 hour CCTV surveillance. There is a well maintained football pitch with changing rooms which provides local teams with a home ground. The Village Hall is very well used by the local community, with an average of 800 to 1,000 people visiting each week. Private Function (Invitation only) Hire of Hall full day (11.30 to 23.30/midnight)
