Sensibly Priced Country Weddings

Sherfield-on-Loddon Village Hall is the ideal venue for a wonderful, memorable wedding reception in the stunning Hampshire countryside, without spending a fortune.

The Village Hall seats 120 people on either circular or long tables. Converted into our Village Hall in 1909, you will need minimum of decoration as it comes with its own character, painted fresh white and featuring the original Victorian beams lit with spotlights.  

The sprung dance floor is great for celebrations and there is plenty of room to place a stage area for musicians or a DJ.

Step through double doors and you are in a separate room ideal for serving food or as a children’s room. This is next to the fully-licensed bar and kitchen.

We have well-maintained, clean toilets and a disabled toilet. The Village Hall is fully accessible. There is plenty of free parking available in the village, which is easily found close to junction 11 of the M4 and junction 6 of the M3.

Photographs

As well as using some of the original features of the Village Hall for photographs inside, such as the large fireplace, you are welcome to use the completely contained garden next to the Village Hall for photographs, or you can step through the gate onto the wonderful, luscious Sherfield Green.

What to Expect

You will have the help of our resident Caretaker who’ll set up tables and chairs according to your pre-arranged layout, open up and lock up and generally assist you.

Other features include:

The characterful Main Hall, with sprung dance floor measuring 17 x 9.5 metres.

The fully licensed Bar and reception area in the adjoining room.

The adjoining fully equipped kitchen, with dishwasher and sufficient table settings. We do not provide table cloths and glasses.

A secure, enclosed garden for your special photos, with lovely views overlooking the village green and even room for that bouncy castle.

Attractive, easily accessible and modern cloakrooms.

The banqueting Main Hall is fully equipped with:

Up to 12 round dining tables and up to 120 upholstered chairs. Or 20 trestle tables to arrange in a T-shape to seat 120.

Modular staging which can be placed to suit your layout

Sound system for your speeches, disco or live band. The Hall has a full entertainment licence and a hearing loop.

Bright or soft lighting options.

An LCD projector and screen. These can be used for Freeview TV or linked to your computer, to show those childhood photos.

Several extra trestle tables, as required

The Bar/Reception Meeting Room has a TV, which can also be used for Freeview TV or as a computer monitor for your guests on arrival.

A lectern.

How to Book

We give you two options;

Hire the Village Hall for the day and evening of your wedding at our hourly rate.

Or you can opt for the weekend package, which includes an extra two hours to set up on the day before hire, and two hours on the day after hire for taking down.
