The Radio Wing

The Radio Wing, Locking Parklands Community Facility, [situated just off the A371] is a converted/renovated former RAF chapel with fully accessible facilities of an exceptionally high standard.  It is located within beautiful parklands, which makes it an ideal venue for all kinds of events including Weddings and Special Family Celebrations.

The Radio Wing can accommodate a wide range of uses besides the Regular Clubs & Activities [Exercise & Dance classes, Yoga & Pilates with a difference,  Teen Fit;  Baby & Toddler Groups etc]. For example:

The venue is well situated for local Business use - near to the M5/J21 Enterprise zone. It offers the capability for Staff Training, Seminars and Development Planning sessions, Presentations and Business/Sales Conferences.  Plenty of scope to arrange group working and space to provide readily available refreshments - Private car parking is included too!

The Radio Wing can facilitate Fund-raising and Charity Events, utilsing the whole building including providing fresh refreshments from the well-equipped kitchen. Large stainless steel 5L flasks, mean you can have hot or cold water available outside on the patio too [weather permitting!].  Situated just a few miles outside Weston-super-Mare is still easy for supporters to get to the venue - The Radio Wing is easy to find.

Promotional Events and Exhibitions can have plenty of space in the Main Hall, together with the Meeting room giving a separate/but adjoining space to accommodate 'special' displays and presentations which won't be neglected by the visitors.

Bringing the neighbours together for Community Events is ideal at The Radio Wing, enjoying the sunshine and socialising on the Patios in the summer, or keeping warm indoors in the winter.  Access to the clean, modern, well-equipped kitchen means refreshments are easily prepared and kept fresh for everyone to enjoy.  As well as parents/carers able to relax as there is a safe place for the children to play.

Local organisations will find it easy to book space for Meetings and AGMs for their groups - easy access and safe parking for cars, motor-cycles and bicycles makes it easier for people to attend. And if you get a flat tyre on your bike - we even have a public bike pump too!

There is scope  for existing sole-traders or start-up entrepreneurs to provide extra Educational opportunities for children of all ages whether it be an After School Homework Club, Tutoring individuals or groups of children in basic subjects to boost their learning, or keeping youngsters occupied in the longer summer break with a Holiday Activity Club - The Radio Wing is an ideal place.

Special Family Celebrations work extremely well here at The Radio Wing.  Not only is the building bright, light, sparkling clean and in a fantastic location, it is a place where family and friends can relax, enjoy and celebrate together and make the event a really special one to be remembered.  You will be made very welcome for those special times, whether it is a Baby Shower, Christening Celebration, Birthday Parties for all ages or to mark a very special Anniversary.
