About The Hive Community Space Cheltenham
We are a small not-for-profit social enterprise based in Sports Direct Fitness Gym [behind Aldi / Bristol Street Motors off Tewkesbury Road]. Our ethos is to support small local businesses & their communities by making hire charges of our community space affordable & include services that makes events successful & brings together a bigger thriving community. [With more local businesses using us, we can ensure our facilities continue; that the community is supported & that we are able to offer our rooms at a discounted / free for charity events & causes.]
We are a small suite of rooms that are available to hire at competitive prices & include a number of services. Bright, clean & warm main room [with or without carpet] & an adjoining back room that can be used for refreshments / coats, bags & buggies etc.
We have an ensuite toilet / baby changing area too. Ground floor with sliding doors makes for easy access for disabled customers [with disabled parking available immediately outside our space] & easy access to full disabled toilet facilities. Plenty of free parking.
As part of the room hire it is possible to include refreshment facilities, tables & chairs, projector & stand, Flipchart and wi-fi & use of our booking system.
Currently we have block booked weekly & ad hoc classes, workshops & events in our timetable. Mostly parent / child focus, but we not exclusive for this community. Meetings, trainings have also taken place in our space & are very welcomed too.
Because we are based within the gym, we are open gym hours [Mon - Thurs 6-10pm / Fri 6-8pm / Sat - Sun 8-6pm] with our venue being available during these times. Please note that because we are in the gym there is a low level of background noise during the day [no more than a hum!] but can be louder during the core times of 6-7.30pm during the week. When making your enquiry we will always advise on noise levels for your preferred day / time!
