Casterton Village Hall

Casterton Village Hall is on the A683 (LA6 2RX) in the centre of the village and is a focal point for social events in the village.

Users should note that access to the hall is via steps, at the front of the building, which are lit and have substantial handrails.  There is also a ramp at the side of the building which leads to the kitchen door. It is possible for mothers with pushchairs or those with limited mobility or vision to enter the building this way if they so wish but the gradient of the slope may make unassisted access for some wheelchair users difficult.  There is a disabled toilet in the building.

There is limited parking on the road outside but, by kind permission of Casterton, Sedbergh Preparatory School, users of the Village Hall are allowed to park in the school's Hollybush car park at certain times of the day.

It is suitable for a wide range of private or commercial events and is available for hire by the hour.

The hall is in good decorative order with  new central heating boiler.  It has access to high speed broadband.  It has chairs and tables for up to 60 people. The kitchen is well-equipped and has a facilities including a range cooker, microwave, fridge and commercial dishwasher. There are tablecloths and a wide range of crockery, cutlery, wine glasses, tumblers etc for the maximum number of people.  For a formal lunch or dinner, a comfortable maximum is 50 - 60 people.
