Brome & Oakley Village Hall is a converted Victorian village school now operating as a Village Hall and community asset in the centre of Brome, near Diss. It was converted to a hall in 1971. Since then it has hosted local sports and social groups, parties, dances, quizes, talks, public meetings, community lunches and weddings, christenings and funeral receptions conducted at local churches.
There is a bar selling alcoholic drinks and a recently refurbished kitchen for catering. Larger groups tend to use external caterers for meal preparation and the kitchen for finishing off/serving.
It is run entirely by local volunteers, which helps keep the costs down.
