About The Barrington Arts and Community Centre
Built and founded in 1986, the Barrington Arts and Community
Centre has been offering a space to host regular community groups, activities
and classes for almost four decades. Situated on Penny’s Walk in the heart of
Ferndown, Dorset, the Barrington Centre serves as the main community centre for
the area, as well as a local theatre hosting everything from tribute acts to
local productions.
We have several hireable spaces of varying sizes, including:
-The Barrington Theatre (16 x 14m, roughly 200 capacity. Ideal for
performances, parties, larger fitness classes, dance activities and
community events)
-The Longham Room (6 x 11m, roughly 40 capacity. Ideal
for society meetings, fitness classes and larger meetings)
-The Hampreston Room (7.5 x 8m, roughly 35 capacity. Includes
a sprung floor, making it perfect for dance activities)
-The Hayes Suite (6 x 8m, roughly 30 capacity. Usually
our Green Room for performances, but can also be turned into two
rooms via a retractable wall)
-The Stapehill Room (4 x 5m, roughly 15 capacity. Ideal
for workshop settings or training days)
We also operate a fully licensed bar, Ferns Bar,
which can be made available for your event on request.
We also operate a fully staffed venue. All hire costs
include setup of the room however you would like, meaning you can save the
worry of having to set up the room yourself.
Whether you would like to host a party, run an activity or even bring your band
or group to our stage, please don’t hesitate to get in contact.
