Tansley Village Hall is located at the heart of Tansley in the scenic Derbyshire Dales, 1.5 miles east of Matlock, on the fringes of the Peak District National Park. The Hall, which stands next to the Village Green, is also within easy walking distance of Lumsdale Valley, a wooded gorge of outstanding natural beauty and historical interest. Tansley Village Hall, recently fully refurbished to a high standard, is a great venue for family parties, wedding receptions, business meetings, group activities, theatrical performances,rehearsals etc. Rates remain very competitive. We hired Tansley Village Hall for our wedding reception initially for a couple of selling points being the large size of the kitchen, the 'bar' area and the location being adjacent to the village green and park (we had a number of children attending). However when we met Chris the caretaker and visited the hall we got so much more! The hall is immaculate, extremely well equipped and so spacious and Chris cannot do enough for you to help your booking go as smoothly as possible and is armed with a plethora of information for the hire of the hall. We would highly recommend the use of Tansley Village Hall for any use but can vouch that we had the best wedding reception ever - as agreed by all of our guests!

Excellent venue for a children's party. Spacious, light, clean, and had everything we needed. Thank you, will definitely be using again for another occasion.

It was really excellent to hire this hall for our friend's dance lesson to celebrate her hen weekend. Organised, clear and really straightforward- especially not being from the area. Would highly recommend!

We booked the hall for 80 women to attend a church retreat and had a fantastic time. Chris could not have been more helpful and the hall was spotless and well resourced. The only thing we felt was that there could have been more large coffee and teapots! but not a big issue. The PA system was fantastic and we would book the hall without hesitation again. Thankyou

The hall was booked for our daughter's wedding reception and proved an excellent venue. Clean, fresh and well appointed with very reasonable hire rates - it ticked all our boxes. We made full use of all the facilities - hall, kitchen, bar, stage, meeting room, lawn and car park. Large enough to accommodate our party (84) but small enough to generate the intimate and close atmosphere we wanted. It was also possible to turn the hall round quickly from a seated reception format in the afternoon to a dance area for the ceilidh band in the evening. Chris was superb with his support and assistance prior to the event and nothing was too much trouble. The day was an outstanding success due in no small part to the venue. I would highly recommend it.

We booked the hall for our wedding recption. chris was very helpful from initially viewing the hall, right up to the big day. We had outside caterers for food, and they said it was the most well equipped hall they had seen. the hall was very clean, absolutely faultless. All our guests were really impressed with it. There isnt anything we would change about the hall, it was perfect. :)

Excellent hall for our christening party. Really well equipt and clean. Great size rooms which have been recently decorated so top quality interior and furnishings. Chris was really helpful and thorough with all the relevant information we needed. Plenty of toilet facilities and baby changing room which was really useful.

We booked the hall for 5 weeks for baby massage. It was a lovely warm space and very clean. Chris was brilliant; welcoming me each day and unlocking the building, offering to assist with carrying items from my car. The cost of the hall was reasonable and Chris was flexible with our dates. I would happily use this hall again and would highly recommend it to others.

This was our second visit to Tansley Village Hall. We used the hall last year for our rambling club Christmas fuddle. Everyone was so impressed by the hall and its facilities that we were delighted to be able to use it again. The hall is a lovely venue well worth investigation. Many of our members commented that it would be a good venue for a party or wedding reception.The furnishings are of a very high standard and the kitchen very well equipped Chris who manages the hall is so helpful. .

The Matlock Area U3A Local History group held it's first winter meeting in the newly renovated upper Tansley Village hall this morning and were delighted to find it so bright, clean and airy, yet snug and warm on this chilly morning. Thank you Chris for making us feel so welcome and ensuring we had everything we needed. Oh, and the chairs are comfortable too.

Beautiful and well-equipped hall which was perfect for our wedding party. Management of the hall is impeccable - Chris was generous with local knowledge and helpful advice for setting up and adapting the hall for our purposes. Excellent value and all-around lovely experience!
