About Furze Platt War Memorial Hall
Furze Platt War Memorial Hall is a Hall for the Community. It is opposite St Peter's Church with which it shares its trustees. The Hall is accessed from the A308 (Furze Platt Road) to the north of Maidenhead town centre.
It used by a pre-school and other regular Community based groups through out the week including Brownies. It may be hired for children's parties up to school year 8.
It is brick built building. The main hall has a high ceiling and high level windows. It is heated using a gas hot air unit. The Hall floor is "sprung" to enhance dance classes. It has a food preparation kitchen with limited cooking facilities and a cleaners "kitchen" for mops and buckets and cleaning non-food equipment. It has disabled access and disabled toilet facilities. It has separate Gents and Ladies toilets. It has tables and chairs for hirers' use that are stored stacked in a cupboard accessed from the main hall.
The Fire doors, opposite the main entrance, give access to the garden at the rear of the Hall. This is a grass area with a shelter in one corner. The garden may also be accessed through gates and a tarmacked area beyond which is a further tarmac area that may be used for additional parking.
There is limited parking in front of the Hall (approximately 10 cars).
