About Swindon Central Community Spaces
Swindon Central Community Centre is housed within an old 19th Century hospital built for workers of the Great Western Railway. It retains its character features on the outside and lovely sash windows, but on the inside it has been modernised so that it is a flexible, clean and bright space. The affordable meeting spaces are mainly used by charities and community groups, but also for delivery of training and meetings by a range of clients.
The hall has capacity for 60 people standing (45 seated comfortably) and there is a small adjacent meeting room for 8-10 persons seated board room style. Next to the hall there is a kitchen with a hatch opening in to the hall.
The spaces are light and there is disabled access to the hall.
There is a small car park for up to 10 cars, shared with other users on a first come first serve basis. There are several pay and display car parks within close walking distance to venue, with reasonable prices. The Community Centre is located within a 5-10 minute walk of Swindon's Train station and on route for local buses.
The Central Community Centre is only a few minutes from the town centre and its variety of shops and eateries. It is a 5-10 minute walk to the Designer Outlet Village. There are also several hotels within walking distance.
