About Myland Parish Halls
Myland Parish Halls Myland Parish Halls are situated on Mile End Road and are easily accessible by road, local bus route, the A12 and Colchester Train Station.
The halls were built in 1871 as a primary school. The school remained open for 36 years until a new one (Myland School) was built due to the growing population.
The premises have been used by both the church and the community as the Parish Halls for many decades.
In 2009 the Parish Halls had a full refurbishment and extension. Although they were completely modernised, they retained much of the original architectural features enabling them to continue to serve and meet the needs and expectations of the growing local community in the 21st century.
The Large Hall is a great size for any occasion, and with its own toilets and access to the kitchen, this is the perfect venue. With a capacity of 100 in meeting format and 80 in a restaurant style, the hall is great for anything from dance classes and children's parties to clubs for all ages.
The hall has its own set of table and chairs which are colour coded red with the message boards.

The Small Hall is deceptively spacious and ideal for a smaller group or younger children’s party. The hall is light and airy and has its own under floor heating as well as access to the kitchen. Capacity in this hall is 30 when set out in restaurant format and 50 if set for a meeting. The hall has blue chairs and slightly smaller tables
Our luxuriously furnished Board Room is the perfect venue for business meetings.
It has 12 comfortable chairs (other chairs available if needed) a dry wipe board, discreet ceiling lighting and velux windows. Should the Hirer need an open format the tables can be folded and stored away.
Our halls are very popular with several groups and clubs. We have many regular slots taken throughout the week, but bookings subject to availability are always welcome.
Weekends are often free for children's or afternoon parties and community events.
Unfortunately, the halls are not available for evening celebrations such as Weddings or celebrations for Adults.
