LOCATION
The Angmering Community Centre is located in the heart of the Bramley Green Development on the east side of Angmering. It is situated on the Open Space in Foxwood Avenue (at the west end of Nursery Road and north end of Rowan Way). Angmering is a friendly village situated approx 4 miles from Worthing to its east and 3 miles from Littlehampton to its west.
FACILITIES
The Centre consists of a large Main Hall which has a semi-sprung wood block floor, two Meeting/Activity Rooms (one carpeted, one with vinyl floor covering) and a central Display and Refreshment area. There is a fully equipped stainless steel semi-commercial Kitchen with industrial dishwasher, microwave oven and water boilers for tea and coffee making in addition to electric ovens (2) and hob, heated food cabinet, fridge and freezer. There is a serving hatch from the Kitchen to the Hall with automatic fire blind.
Main Hall is 17metres (56ft) by 15.5metres (51ft.) with a seating capacity of around 200.
Meeting/Activities Room 1 is 7.6 metres (25ft) by 6 metres (20ft) with a seating capacity of around 30.
Meeting/Activities Room 2 is 6.2 metres (20.5ft) by 5 metres ( 16.5 ft) with a seating capacity of around 24.
The Centre is equipped with 5ft diameter round tables, 4ft 6in rectangular tables and 160 chairs, plus crockery and cutlery to cater for 160 seated guests at functions and conferences.
There is disabled access to all areas and a large separate toilet is provided for use of the disabled which doubles as a baby changing room. An alarm system is installed in this toilet. In the male and female toilets there are electric hand dryers. Fire extinguishing equipment is provided in all areas. The exterior of the building is monitored by security cameras.
The Centre is heated by Ground Source Heating, and Solar Electric Panels will provide much of the electricity needed. Information about these technologies and visual displays are positioned in the central area.
The Car Park has 40 spaces plus two disabled bays and a mini-bus bay.
Availability and Hire Costs
Availability: The main hall and meeting rooms have some availability Monday to Friday between 9 am and 11 pm.
Weekend hiring is available for functions, conference and training meetings, craft fairs, parties and other events.
