The Avenue Halls is a wonderful venue for celebrating your wedding day, your special occasion or for holding an event, meeting or class, and is situated in the heart of Kew close to Kew Gardens and Kew Gardens station in what was formerly a Victorian church. There are a number of rooms available for hire.
The Main Hall is our largest space. With acoustic ceiling, polished parquet flooring and neutral colour scheme it offers you a blank canvas and can be decorated to suit your occasion. Original features include beautiful Victorian stonework pillars. The Hall has a capacity of 200 standing and 150 seated at tables. Adjacent to the Main Hall there is a well-equipped professional caterers kitchen with stainless steel working surfaces where your caterer can prepare the food you want. The coffee bar can be adapted to provide a bar area and a baby grand piano is available.
The adjacent West End Room (which can accomodate 30 standing or 15 seated) can be seperately booked or used to extend the space and leads to a paved area outside for reception drinks. The room can also provide a buffet area.
Ground floor facilaties include toilets for men and women as well as a disabled toilet and baby changing area.
The Alexandra Hall is a beautiful upper Hall, formed in the original roof timbers of the church and incorporates a stunning arched ceiling. The sprung floor makes this space ideal for dance and movement activities. Character windows and a neutral colour scheme make it a light and airy space. The Hall also contains a mobile unit from which food and drinks can be served as well as an enclosed fridge and sink unit. The room is on the first floor and we do have lift access. The Hall has access, on the same floor, to men and womens toilets. Capacity is 100 standing, 80 seated theatre style or 60 seated with tables.
The Marwood room is formed between the rear of the church and our boundary and has oodles of natural light. Large glass doors lead onto the garden and the beautifully exposed stone walls and wooden beams make this a light and airy space ideal for smaller functions. The room has a private entrance so can be used completely separately from the main building. It also has a small kitchenette tucked away in a cupboard and access to toilets.
We also have a private room for meetings away from the office or as a place to meet clients. The room can hold 20 standing or 15 seated at tables.
This venue is suitable for the following occasions.
Availability: Depending on availability all our Halls and Rooms are available from 9 am until midnight from Mondays to Saturday and from 1.30 pm on Sundays.
