About Maiden Bradley Memorial Hall

Our recently renovated village hall is set amongst the beautiful rolling valleys of the Wiltshire Countryside. We are a 5 minute drive from the magnificent Stourhead Gardens and the famous Longleat Estate and Safari Park.

The hall itself is a beautiful building built in 1911 looking out onto local farms with views to Frome. Our hall is perfect for any type of  function - whether private, community, commercial or charity.

You are welcome to book our venue for your next workshop, music event, reception, dinner, drama performance or business meeting. You can hire the hall for a 'Pop Up Shop', a fundraising event or as a rehearsal space for your local choir!

Our modern facilities include a P.A, film projector and catering facilities We have a front ramp for all abilities to access our venue with ease. There is  a choice of round or rectangle tables. Our comfortable chairs were purchased new in 2021. We have a recently renovated modern kitchen.

The main hall is our largest room decorated in a fresh neutral palette. There are three toilets, one storeroom and a large stage to the rear (with a PA unit available).Tables and chairs for 80 people are included in the price and can be set up to your own personal taste. The room has a clean wooden floor perfect for dancing or yoga and able to seat 80 or accomodate 100 standing.  Our car park can accommodate up to 20 cars. Our quintessential English village of Maiden Bradley has a population of 300 and is welcoming to all who visit. We are surrounded by nature walks and the estates of the Duke of Somerset are central in the village.

Accommodation options in the village include our pub The Bradley Hare which has been recently renovated offering contemporary dining experience and first class guest accommodation.

The village has a superb independent shop and cafe, The Bradley Pantry, which opens 7 days a week. As well as providing essential grocery items, it sells a comprehensive range of locally sourced items and serves wonderful coffee, cake and pastries.

There are a few Airbnbs in the village and a Centre Parcs less than 5 mins drive. Our nearest major town is the delightful Frome which is a scenic 10 minute drive.

There is a small children’s play area and sports field 5 minutes walk from the hall.

A Little History.

The village hall was built in 1911 and given to the village by Lord Ernest St Maur (Somerset family name) in memory of his brother, Lord Percy. During the First World War it was used as a military hospital and has murals on the walls dating from that time. It retains it's heritage ambience as well as being well maintained to modern-day standards. There is a 'History Corner' in the hall for those who are interested in discovering more.
