Atcham Memorial Hall

The Hall was formerly a Malthouse for the Attingham estate and was converted to a village hall in the 1920s and opened in 1925. We are situated near the local church and not far from the historic Atcham bridge over the river Severn. At the rear of the hall, we have the Atcham Malthouse crown green bowling club who play in several leagues.

The hall is unique with its central oak pillars and a sprung wooden floor that makes it ideal for dances and dance groups. We host functions, parties and meetings and have many dance societies that regularly use the hall. Adjacent to the hall is the Berwick room that has recently been converted into a meeting or buffet room and can be separated from the main hall by a concertina door. We can offer a refurbished kitchen, disabled access and toilet and baby changing facilities. We also offer the use of the stage that is across the width of the south end of the hall.

Our entertainments licence allows for 80 people seated  and 100 people standing but as we are a semi-detached property, we request hirers to finish their event at around 10.00 which gives time for clearing down and guests to depart by 11.00 p.m. as required by our licence.

At the rear of the hall is the Acham Malthouse Bowling Club. Our shared park park at the rear of the hall will hold 25 cars. Unfortunately, apart from the car park, we have no outside space and therefore cannot accommodate marquees or hog roasts (unless previously cooked).
