Central Bristol Quaker Meeting House serves a large and vibrant local community and offers a warm welcome to many thousands of people of all ages throughout the year. The Meeting House has four pleasant meeting rooms set around a quiet courtyard garden, and is a haven of peace in the centre of Bristol. The rooms are for hire and are in regular use by a great variety of groups including community & activist groups, counselling, wellbeing, training organisations, fellowship groups, company meetings. The Meeting House is a place of worship twice a week and is used by other faith groups too. It is mostly wheelchair accessible. Two of the four toilets are accessible.
Our central location is within 2 minutes of the main shopping area of Bristol, 15 minutes walk from Temple Meads train station, 10 minutes walk from the main Bus station, and is on several bus routes. Parking in Cabot Circus car park is immediately adjacent and there is limited parking on the premises.
The extensive facilities include a large domestic style kitchen, a commercial food preparation Servery, a laundry and two showers. The new Servery is a fully commercial quality cooking area with large fridges and freezer, large induction cooking range and utensils, with a commercial dishwasher, stainless steel food preparation areas and plentiful storage. The domestic kitchen offers a 5-burner gas hob, 2 ovens, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, filtered boiling water and many new cooking utensils and an extensive range of crockery and cutlery.
