About Sutton St. James Church Hall
At the entrance to the churchyard of St. James Church, Sutton, near Macclesfield there stands a superb and well-appointed Church Hall. This attractive stone-built Hall (formerly the village school) is used by many members of the community and is available for hire for a wide variety of functions and social events.
The Hall can comfortably accommodate 80 people and there are plenty of tables, chairs and a well-equipped kitchen. There is good disabled access and modern toilet facilities including a baby changing unity and a disabled toilet.
The building was completely renovated in 2021/22 to a high specification. It provided a warm open space which can be subdivided into a large main hall and a smaller room, each with access to the kitchen. An added benefit is its own large car park with 38 spaces.
The village of Sutton lies about 2 miles south of the historic market town of Macclesfield in pretty countryside on the edge of the Peak District.
