About Tolpuddle Village Hall
Tolpuddle Village Hall is located in the historic part of Tolpuddle, just opposite the Martyrs Green and only a few minutes off the A35.
The Hall was originally built as the Village School around 1840 and has retained many of the original features, with open beams and historic windows. It was handed to the village for use as a Village Hall in the 1960’s and been in continual use as such since then.
In 2016-17 it was extended and modernised, now providing an extensive modern kitchen, with a hatch to the hall, a range cooker and an industrial dishwasher making the kitchen highly functional. The Hall has disabled access and toilets to suit. There is a modern heating system and recently all chairs were replaced with comfortable modern chairs.
The hall provides free WIFI to hirers together with large screen TV with a sound system to suit the hall and connections for presentations or films.
Outside there is a garden, mostly laid to lawn which provides an excellent outside space during the summer for users. The hall provides external tables and chairs for hall users as required. There is a carpark at the rear for users as well easy parking on the road outside.
