I have hired David's hall for the birthday party for 7 year old. We've got spacious and clean hall with big and really well equiped kichen. I had very good communication with centermanager ‐ despite the lady works there only a part time. There was no peculiar restrictions or expectations, no complicated procedures, which I have come across in some other places. Everything went smooth and easy. Obviously, the palce has to be handed over back in the same condition as it was taken before the event, and it happened so, but the impartatnt thing is ‐ there was no fuss, no hunting for the deposit money. We had nice time and good fun. I strongly recommend!

There are a number of different hall sizes available. We booked the main hall after contacting the centre manager, they were very accommodating and able to provide availability and options promptly. The hall was a great size for a children's party with 12 attendees. Communication of the services and price are excellent. I highly recommend this to anyone looking to book a similar event in this area.

We have just finished our 1st Kids Capoeira Summer School which was held at Park United Reformed Church and it could not have been a better venue for us. Our summer school run there from Monday to Friday for 5 days and we booked David's hall with access to kitchen and projector. Julie the Centre Manager was very organised, quick at replying to emails and she answered all our questions and considered all our needs. We quickly had a quote and were booked to run our summer school. The paperwork was sorted out quickly too and we were shown around the building to explain all safety procedures etc. The David's halls is beautifully renovated as is the state of the art kitchen that is attached to it and the main hall. PURC really have a great selection of halls at competitive prices. We are definitely coming back here soon.

I hired this facility for my group. Found the booking process quick and easy. The hall was clean, warm, well decorated and there was plnety of parking. The toilets and kitchens are spotless, and the price was very competitive. Cant think of any negatives. HIGHLY recommended!

Great service, great people, reasonable price, will use again. The Centre Manager is the best!

I have used Park URC hundreds of times over several years and have always found the staff a no fuss pleasure to deal with. The centre manager, who in fact is lovely and very helpful actually only works 3 hours a day Mon-Fri although people expect otherwise. Arguably things can go wrong and no doubt lessons will be learned. The review below should be taken with a large pinch of salt.

If I could award no stars I would. Unless you enjoy a stress filled nightmare, do not book this hall. I tried to book here from February, and found it almost impossible to speak with the "centre manager" (in inverted commas as the name itself is a joke when she couldn't manage a drunken day out at a brewery). Finally managing to book and pay £50, we then had to change the time of our daughter's party as despite having a spreadsheet with hires listed on it, the centre manager managed to give us the wrong time. Not great when you've had 30 invites printed and handed out. Then three days before the party, having heard nothing of how we could access the hall, we finally again track down the elusive centre manager who assures someone will be there to let us in. Not a named rep, just "someone". The someone turned out to be a third party choir using the hall, not one official person belonging to the church. We could, frankly, have been anyone. The disgraceful nature of the hall and its management really showed itself when, 45 minutes into the three hour hire, with 25 children and parents at our daughter's party which we had hired a DJ for and spent time and money organising, came to an abrupt end due to the faulty and ridiculously loud fire alarm going off. We had no key to turn it off, no one to help. We phoned several numbers for church representatives, not one was available, most went straight to answer phone. Its clearly a known issue as despite the alarm going off the fire brigade didn't show up until an hour later when someone phoned them. My daughter is distraught, the children were very upset at having to sit outside after 45 minutes, food went in the bin and we have had not one phone call from the centre manager to apologise or explain why we were deserted in the hall. To make matters worse, whilst we were there before the alarm went off, unknown people showed up to meet reps from the church and just wandered round the halls, health and safety will be informed of this halls lax attitude. We are down £200 as a result and considering these are meant to be God fearing individuals, they simply do not care. Avoid at all costs.
