Located right in the centre of Penzance, The Exchange retains the industrial feel of the original telephone exchange it occupies. Its striking glass façade transforms this spacious building from a light-filled daytime setting to glorious evening venue.
Our newly refurbished Engine Room is available to hire for a daytime or evening event for a group of up to 110 people (standing) or 60 people for a seated. Perfect for large groups or blended online sessions, The Engine Room has a fully integrated system and is equipped with AV equipment, including a Panasonic projector screen, 75-inch large TV screen, hanging mic and speakers. It also has two small sinks and storage areas – perfect for art workshops.
Availability and Hire Costs
Availability: Available for hire 7 days a week. Hours are negotiable and can be customised per booking.
Hire Costs: We have 3 spaces available for hire, The Engine Room: - £50 per hour - £200 half day - £400 full day Cafe/Bar: - £50 per hour - £200 half day - £400 full day Main Gallery: - £100 per hour - £400 half day - £800 full day Whole building: - £800 half day - £1600 full day All rates are excluding VAT All rates include one member of staff, if additional staff is required this will be at £15 p/hour If you require a tea & coffee making station, use of AV equipment or food from our cafe please do let us know.
