About St Anne's Church, Ings
St Anne's Church is a Grade 2* listed Georgian building built in 1743. It has been refurbished as a multi-purpose venue whilst maintaining its character as a Church. Pews and under-pew electrical heating have been replaced by moveable furniture and under-floor heating from an air-source heat-pump. Significant thermal insulation improvements were made including secondary glazing so the venue is warm and welcoming. An accessible toilet extension was built and LED lighting installed in the Church. In addition to church services, weddings and funerals, the building is now used for a wide variety of community functions, concerts, meetings etc.
The church can be used in conjunction with Ings Parish Hall if, for example, its better kitchen facilities are needed. See the details of the hall also listed on the Hallshire website.
