Williamson Hall is the village hall for Abernethy and its surrounds. Run by a voluntary committee as a charity / not for profit community resource, the building is owned by the Williamson Trust (Community Trust).
Over the last few years it has been fully refurbished, insulated and re-glazed and is the perfect warm and welcoming venue for your party, concert, ceilidh, organised youth group sleepover, community or fundraising event. Our ongoing refurbishment programme means we installed a new shower room in 2020, a defibrillator in 2021, and we have just installed free guest wifi and CCTV.
Availability and Hire Costs
Availability: Current availability on a Thursday evening for regular groups. Monday, Wednesday and Friday during the daytime. Friday, Saturday and Sundays for private parties, events, youth group residentials or community events.
Hire Costs: Charges: The hall is a registered charity (part of SC 003200) and is run by a voluntary committee as a community resource. Our rates start at just £12.00 per hour for weekday hire, £15.00 per hour for weekends before 6pm and £20.00 per hour for Fri, Sat and Sun evenings. We don’t usually charge for set up time. We are happy to welcome organised youth groups (e.g. Boys /Girls Brigades, Scouting or Guiding groups) to hold overnight indoor camps in the hall. We charge £5 per person per night subject to a minimum fee of £100 per nights stay.
