About Fulford Social Hall
Fulford Social Hall is a community venue run by Fulford Parish Council. It aims to provide good quality facilities for local groups and individuals to use for meetings, activities, classes, social events and parties. It is also available to hirers from other parts of York.
It has two spaces available for hire:
Main Hall: The 135.2 m² timber beamed Main Hall can be divided into two sections with a sliding partition. The larger section measures approx. 10.7 m² by 5.5 m², the smaller 7.3 m² by 5.5 m². The two sections together have a capacity of 100. There are 24 folding tables and 80 stacking chairs available for use.
The kitchen was fully renovated in March 2026 with modern units and appliances, accessible features (a height adjustable sink, height adjustable hob and wheelchair accessible worktop) and a servery hatch through to the Main Hall.
The Hall holds a current entertainments licence and the facility to apply for a TENS licence to sell alcohol at an event is available.
The enclosed courtyard to the side of the main hall can be used as part of an event during the summer.
Old Library Meeting Room: This room is approximately 46 m² and provides conference style facilities for meetings of up to 30 people. It has benefit of a small kitchenette making it totally independent of the Main Hall. It provides a good venue for teaching purposes as the room is fitted with data points and free WiFi is available.
