Catforth is a small village just West of Preston in Lancashire. It lies between Bartle and Inskip in the rich dairy farming land of the Fylde.
Catforth Village Memorial Hall, to give it its “Sunday” name, was originally built in 1920 to honour the fallen in World War 1.
The land was donated by a local farmer and the money needed for the building raised by local subscription.
Nowadays it nestles as the much loved centre of our rural village, just across the road from the village school.
The Hall plays host to many community events but is also available to hire for outside functions.
The Hall consists of a large room capable of accommodating 120 people in comfort (although for Village events such as the Carol Service, we cram in a few more!!).
This open and airy space makes it suitable for a wide range of activities, including children’s parties, craft fairs, concerts, weddings and many more.
It has good facilities to support these, ample car parking, and is centrally heated.
The character of the Village has changed slowly over the years from being a community based almost entirely on farming, with its
population living and working within the village, to a more diverse one, encompassing local businesses, and a significant proportion who “work away”.
The Hall, however, remains the geographical focus of our community and the natural centre of Village life.

Just had my sons 18th birthday here - the hall was fabulous. It is a lovely traditional village hall with a lovely feel to it! We trimmed it up with balloons, fairy lights & bunting & it looked great! The lady we dealt with - Karen - was really nice & very helpful. I would definitely recommend this hall & will likely use it again in the future.
