About St Mary Islington Community Partnership
St Mary’s Crypt was refurbished in 2009 and now has well designed and lit facilities within the original vaulted lower floor of the church. The space contains a kitchen, toilets and reception area and four rooms accessed by a disabled lift and stairs.
St Mary’s Neighbourhood Centre contains the Sports Hall which has a sprung wooden floor and is suitable for 5-a-side football and basketball, the Johnston room is a large room with a wall of mirrors that is well suited to dance and is used for children’s parties, the Garden Room is a large versatile room and there is also a kitchen.
Most rooms offer flexible usage, chairs and tables are either stored at the side of the room or nearby so the spaces can be set up for meetings or left free for physical exercise like dance or yoga or for children’s activities seated on the floor.
