Our historic hall was built in 1774 and sits in a conservation area of Little Downham. It is found in the centre of the village and has ample car parking. Originally built as the workhouse it has had a varied history as a boys and then a girls school. In 1974 it was fully refurbished and given to the village to be managed by a Village Hall Committee. The facade is listed and the hall still retains some of its original beams and brickwork.
Over the past 18 months the village hall committee has raised funds to repair the roof, build a bar, refurbish the toilets and kitchen and are preparing funding applications to revamp the stage area. The hall is regularly used by a diversity of 30 groups and is available as a venue for wedding receptions, parties, social events, shows and social gatherings.
