With a multi-functional design, high ceilings, flying books and an exhibition hanging, The Bright Emporium offers an exciting introduction to the wonderful world of illustration that can be found inside. The Bright Emporium is certainly a one-of-a-kind venue to hire, perfect for children's birthday parties and grown-ups parties alike! This is a unique space, opening a window for customers into the illustration and children’s book world. Here creative people, families and art enthusiasts can discover new artists, commission bespoke pieces and immerse themselves in a world of discovery. Through The Bright Emporium, it is our hope that visitors – both children and adults – can develop a deeper relationship with the picture book characters they love and allow their own creativity to spark into life. Exposing a new generation to art and storytelling is a key aim of The Bright Emporium, as we believe exposure to the arts is one of the most valuable things a person can experience, shaping their personality and encouraging them to grow creatively.

Availability and Hire Costs

Availability: The Emporium is a working office from 9am-6pm on weekdays and open to the public from 10am-4pm on weekends, and so is available to hire any times outside of those hours. If you wanted to hire the space slightly earlier than our closing times on the weekends we could be willing to close early, but this would need to be discussed with the gallery team. Before your event begins you would be welcome to arrive half an hour early and prepare downstairs.
